Philosophy
We are a Vancouver-based group meeting to encourage both the home educator and their families. Our purpose is to support these families through various activities such as field trips, Wednesday Club theme days and adult Home Educators Support Meetings. This group is open to families using any style or method of home educating.
Through these activities, and other interaction between the families involved, we hope to foster encouraging relationships within our association as well as being a part of the home educating families at large.
Our association desires to support each other in the Christian faith through prayer and Christian living and has accepted a statement of faith following Christian beliefs stated in the Bible.
Membership
A membership fee is collected at the beginning of the year to cover costs incurred during the year. Yearly costs may include library purchases, Appreciation Night Social and fees for rental space. Our philosophy and the statement of faith is accepted by members of the group in order to maintain a common understanding.
All members are welcome to participate in field trips (which my incur additional costs per trip), attend Wednesday Club and Appreciation Day, and borrow from the library. Members and non-members are welcome to the home educators’ monthly meetings which take place in various homes. Contact us for locations.
